Care First For Seniors, is a unique consortium of healthcare professionals whose mission it is to provide valuable free services to the Senior community of New Jersey (NJ). Whether you, or a loved one, is either new to NJ, or simply seeking out healthcare information for the Senior citizen, Care First For Seniors can help you navigate the often confusing world of Senior healthcare.
We are a collaborative group of healthcare professionals such as Physicians (MD, DO's), Nurses (RN's), Social Workers (MSW's), and Administrators (LNHA / CALA's) whose function it is to provide you with the tools you need to make hard decisions regarding the placement of a loved one in a senior care setting.
When it comes to placing a loved one in a Senior Community such as an Assisted Living Center, Skilled Nursing Center or other setting, it can be an extremely emotional and stressful period. Care First is here to assist you make the correct decision for your loved-one as doing it alone can be overwhelming; every care center will tell you they are the best, that they have the best services, and that they can provide the appropriate level of care. Sometimes, this is not the case. Many times, admissions coordinators will lure families into making wrong decisions based on the need of the facility over your needs; to increase the facility census. After-all, not unlike a hotel, the more guests there are, the more money there is to be made.
That is not to say that all operators of Assisted Living Centers and Nursing Homes operate this way. There are many ethical operations in existence. But why take the slightest chance of being swindled by an unethical operator when our network of healthcare providers can assist you make this difficult decision a lot easier. We take a non-biased approach to helping you place your loved one. We contract with whom we consider top-level facilities based on the services they provide, the operations of the facility, survey reports as well as family feedback.
Could you do this by yourself? Of course you can! But, we are professionals with extensive experience and contacts in the Senior Care Industry and we know the truth about each facility you may be looking at. Additionally, "report-cards" posted on the state and federal websites are not current as they are updated infrequently and often do not post the most recent survey scores. At Care First For Seniors, we simply have access to the information that is not publicly known. You can't find it on a website, nor can a family usually make an informed decision during times of crisis.
Again, this service is ENTIRELY FREE to you! So really, there is no reason to not contact us right now. There is never a cost to you at all, and you will gain valuable information, ease of transition and a piece of mind that the facility you are selecting is appropriate, clinically competent and recommended by others. There are no contracts to sign, no obligations on your part, no money required and you can rest assured that the choice we help you with is the best one there is.
